Rain, rain go away...

...Not ActiveRain but the rain that is washing away any hopes of our Holiday Flotilla.  http://www.ncholidayflotilla.org/ParadeDetails/Overview/tabid/68/Default.aspx

I blogged a few days ago about, "What is a Flotilla?" and I would like to thank all that responded with educated and hilarious answers.  Our Holiday Flotilla is celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year and it looks as it will go down in the record books as a soggy one.  The Holiday Flotilla always brings excitement not only to my family but to all in the Wrightsville Beach Community.  We hold the festive parade of boats the following Saturday after Thanksgiving.  It's a way of kicking off the Christmas Season while all the families are in town for Thanksgiving.

Yesterday evening I met Debbie Prachel, Realtor from Advance, NC who was in town with her husband Ron to see the Flotilla.  They come every year although they live almost 5 hours away.  If you ever need real estate around Charlotte, NC call Debbie Prachel, 336-909-1284.

If the rain does not let up and we decide not to take our 3 kids to the Wrightsville Beach Flotilla, Kim and I may try to make arrangements to see the Carolina Beach Flotilla which is only about 10 miles down the road.  Carolina Beach holds their Flotilla the first Saturday in December.

For now, I'll keep saying rain, rain go away...

100 Days

Show me the money!

I began doing real estate just over 2 years ago and I've been told that I got in at the wrong time.  I'm tired of all the negativity on the news in regards to the economic status of the country and the declining housing market.  Personally, I'm ready to change my current financial situation.  I've created a group where we can coach each other.  What we are doing is setting a goal of "100 Days to Change".  I've got the support of other real estate professionals who want CHANGE too.  What we are going to do are various proactive activities which will propel our business.  Every day I will reach out to individuals in my group and provide direction.  By working as a group I believe that we can provide support to each other and coach ourselves to CHANGE.  If you would like to be a part of this group then please subscribe to this blog and we will begin our 100 Days.

There are no obligations to participate in this group.  It is being offered as FREE.  All you have to do is want to change your current financial situation, desire an increase in your real estate business and committ to yourself.

Please ReBlog this post to optimize the visibility of this free self-help program.

I'm Thankful for my Mother who just turned 68 two days ago.  She was supposed to be in Maui, Hawaii at the Maui Invitational however last minute events caused her to miss the trip.

I'm Thankful for her wonderful husband whose Birthday is today as well as mine.

I'm Thankful for my sister Sue Ellen and her husband Mark.

I'm Thankful for my sister Mary and her two beautiful girls Harley and Kendall.

I'm Thankful for my Grandmother Lucille who is wealthy with health.

I'm especially Thankful for this Thanksgiving as it will be the first time in many years that my family has been able to come together.

I'm Thankful for all the memories of my Father Bobby and Grandparents Bob, Alton and Naomi who will not attend our gathering physically but will always be in our hearts and minds.

To everyone, I say Thanks and hope that you all cherish every moment with your families.

Does anyone want to CHANGE their current financial situation?

I for one do and am determined to do so.  Today is Thanksgiving Day and it is also my 36th Birthday today.  I have 3 beautiful children and a beautiful wife that stays home with the family as I try to provide for them.  I began doing real estate just over 2 years ago and I've been told that I got in at the wrong time.  I'm tired of all the negativity.  I'm ready to change things.  What I'm doing is setting a goal of "100 Days to Change".  I'm not doing this by myself.  I've got support.  I've got the support of other real estate professionals who want CHANGE too.  What we are going to do are various proactive activities which will propell our business.  Every day I will reach out to individuals in my group and provide direction.  By working as a group I believe that we can provide support to each other and coach ourselves to CHANGE.  If you would like to be a part of this group then please subscribe to this blog and we will begin our 100 Days.

Foreclosures in Wilmington, NC

As summer draws to an end and so ends the tourist season here at the coast, I wonder how well all of the homes that have been foreclosed on and are now owned by the banks will be marketed.  So many people want to have coastal property and buying a bank owned property is one of the best ways to get into a home with possibly some equity.  Hopefully there will be more investors searching online trying to find those deals.
